Spokane Valley League baseball teams are down to the final four games of their seasons.

Blasingame Insurance is unbeaten ahead of six teams, all with two losses, in the Midget League.

Valley Electric is also perfect with a half-game lead over Sterling Self Storage in the Pee Wee League.

Among weekly highlights: Autocraft’s Mitchell Axtell pitched one-hit scoreless baseball and struck out seven in the Midget League. Axtell went 4-for-4, driving in three runs and scoring three in another game.

Five Sodorff and Wilson players combined for 16 hits, Dorian Gillingham going 4-for-5. He also pitched 2-hit ball and struck out nine.

Braden Miles had four hits, drove in two runs and scored twice for M-L Supply in the Pee Wee League. Dawson Rhode of Boston Scientific had three hits in as many at bats, doubling twice and driving in four runs. Andrew Heesh allowed no hits and struck out nine for Gibson’s Nursery. Softball (through July 10)

There was little change in Spokane Valley Girls Softball standings following the July Fourth break.

Home Run Construction and All Wall Construction remained tied for first place following easy 18U wins. Home Run’s Danielle Gregor was 3-for-4 and drove in four runs in their victory.

In a game between 14U unbeaten teams, Team Testcomm (6-0) topped Megawash 10-6. Ace Production (5-0) also remained perfect after winning, 14-9, over F&F Foundations.

Megawash’s Makenzie Mattson went 3-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs in an earlier triumph.

AnnDee Myers and Megan Hills were both 3-for-3 in a Blue Rhino win.

Three teams share first in the 10U League with 5-1 records. One of them, Dana Graphics, was led by Trinity Cobbs who hit back-to-back home runs and Ellee Toles who had two home runs and a triple.
