Shine win, wait to see WPSL playoff fate
Brittany Conway scored a pair of goals and Lisa Robertson had two assists to power the Spokane Shine to a 6-0 victory over the visiting Oregon Rush in their Women’s Premier Soccer League regular-season finale at Albi Stadium on Saturday.
The win leaves Spokane (6-2-2, 20 points) in first place in the Northwest Division – two points ahead of Issaquah (5-1-3, 18). The Shine need Issaquah to tie or lose its final game today to claim the division title and the playoff berth that comes with it.
Chae Brown put Spokane ahead 7 minutes in when she scored from 6 yards out after a good cross from Chelsie Breen.
Tseng Shu-O and Cassie Black also scored for Spokane, which also got an own goal.
