Passed away on July 4, 2012 in Davenport, WA.
He was born July 23, 1922 in Jackson County, NC to Charlie and Della Stewart Norris.
He served in the US Army during World War II where he received the Bronze Star.
He later joined the US Air Force, serving in Vietnam and retiring from active duty in 1969.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rometta Brown Norris; daughters Diana (Danny) Hester of Stovall, NC, Teresa (Ken) Freund of Spokane, WA; son Tim (Laurie) Norris of Spokane, WA; sister Opal Tucker of Walhalla, SC; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by daughter Barbara Wilkerson, and sons Keith and Tony Norris.
Military graveside service will be Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 12:30pm at the Reardan Cemetery and Memorial service will be at Reardan Presbyterian Church at 1:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Reardan Presbyterian Church or Reardan Memorial Library.
