TAYLOR,

Of Spokane, Washington and also known during his long term residence in Ennis, Montana as “The Madisonian Man,” entered into rest on July 6, 2012, supported by the love of his family, after his long courageous struggle with cancer. Joe was born the only son and second of three children to Deland O. Taylor and Ruth (Cramer) Taylor on October 6, 1940 in Buffalo, Oklahoma. His adventurous life led him to California and Montana where he graduated from Montana State University and set out as a gold miner, a writer and other business ventures. He is survived by his loving mother, Ruth Taylor; and two sisters, Dela (Dee) Hopkins and N. Marlene Willis, all of Spokane, Washington and numerous cousins. He will be remembered affectionately as “Uncle Joe” by his many nieces, nephews, grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
