Donna Yates, recently of Spokane Valley, passed away on July 13, 2012.
Born on September 10, 1928 to Robert and Vivian Laymon.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Lee Yates, Jr. She is survived by her daughters Leann Yates and Lynn Hicks of Spokane Valley and her son, Robert L. Yates of Bringhurst, IN.
She was the proud grandmother of five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was an avid reader, card player, but most of all she was a sports fanatic.
She loved the Gonzaga Bulldogs and the Spokane Indians where she was known as one of the bubblegum ladies.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 2:00pm at Millwood Community Presbyterian Church at 3223 N. Marguerite Rd.
in Spokane Valley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Special Olympics of Washington or Millwood Community Presbyterian Church.
