Obituary: Mcknight, Virginia “Jane”


MCKNIGHT, Virginia “Jane”
(Age 85)

Passed from this world to her heavenly father on 30 June 2012.

She was born to Ralph Allen and Mary Moore from Enid, Oklahoma on 8 July 1926.

She is preceded in death by her wonderful parents, her four awesome siblings, her loving Husband Kenneth Andrew Mcknight, and her cherished daughter Katherine Jane McBurney.

Jane followed Ken, whom she called “Charles” in his Air Force Service and together they saw much of the World.

She touched the lives of many she met in her travels and has friends worldwide.

The McKnight’s settled in Spokane, Washington in 1969.

Jane was known to her family and friends in Spokane and other locals as the “Master of the Universe”, excellent cook, awesome weaver, committed to her faith, and as well as a dear friend to many.

The Mcknight household was always a giving, caring, on-the-go household.

Throughout her life she was known always a giving person whether is was the Grey Ladies, Meals on Wheels, or any number of other charities she was involved with.

She loved to sail, boat, travel, weave, cook, work with clay, entertain, and enjoyed time with her children and her Grand and Great Grand kids.

She is survived by her son, Steven Andrew McKnight, much loved nieces and nephew across the USA, five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

She will be terribly missed by those that loved her.

Memorial Service will be held on the 23rd of July at Spokane Memorial Gardens at 1 PM.
