Obituary: Solverson, Betty Jean

Age 65


SOLVERSON, Betty Jean

After a short, but courageous battle with lung cancer, Betty Jean Solverson, 65, went to be with the Lord on July 13, 2012; she was surrounded by family and friends.

Betty was born on August 2, 1946, to Willis and Maxine Webb in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Betty grew up in Boise, Idaho and graduated from Borah High School.

Betty loved taking care of people as evidenced by the daycare that she ran in Spokane and her work at an assisted living center before retiring.

Betty enjoyed NASCAR racing, gardening, bingo, antique stores and spending time at the lake with family.

She is preceded in death by her mother (Maxine), her dad (Willis) and her oldest sister (Judy).

She is survived by her stepfather Lloyd Fulmer, her husband of 40 years Neil Solverson, sister Sandy (Darel), brother Buddy (Jeanne); her children, Sandy Bloom (Todd), Rhonda Miller (Scott), Richard Asmussen (Melissa), Shelly Bauge; grandchildren, Ruy Victor, Maggie Asmussen, Brandon, Mariah and Austin Miller, Madison and Grayeson; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Carnell.

Betty also has numerous nieces and nephews of whom she is quite fond of.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home on 5100 W. Wellesley Ave., Spokane WA 99205.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to YMCA, 1126 N. Monroe, Spokane, WA or the Cancer Society.
