Education Notes: Cheney, EWU team up for volleyball camps

Cheney High School and Eastern Washington University are teaming up to offer volleyball camps next week.

EWU volleyball players will work with high school students from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. Cheney students will work with first- through eighth-graders from 1 to 3 p.m.

INCF scholarship recipients announced

The Inland Northwest Community Foundation recently awarded scholarships to area students for the 2012-’13 school year. The foundation awarded 94 scholarships overall, totaling about $132,000.

Students who received scholarships are listed by school:

Rogers High School: Ashley Massie, a $1,200 Joy-Hughes Scholarship; Jasmin Hallam, a $1,000 Ziegler Family Scholarship; Alicea Schofield, a $1,000 Ziegler Family Scholarship; and Brice Cook, a $2,000 Lucille Hudon Scholarship.

Mt. Spokane High School: Molly Cole, a $2,000 Lucille Hudon Scholarship.
