Regarding Greg and Anne Jones’ opinion piece on July 14; I have a few thoughts. I, too, am a 16-year product of Catholic education. Coincidentally, eight years at St. Ann’s and eight years at the Gonzaga schools. I, too, led Catholic Marriage Preparation programs in California.

After considering the Jones’ views, I am in agreement. So, I will pick and choose which Catholic theology I will buy into. Also, I think I have the right to pick and choose which civil laws apply to me. However, I do intend to obey at least five or six of the Ten Commandments.
