Obituary: Beeman, Marcelle Antoinette

BEEMAN, Marcelle Antoinette

Passed away on July 18, 2012 at her home, with family by her side.

Marcelle was born January 31, 1927 to Frederico and Isabelle Selva in Oran, Algeria, Africa.

During WWII she was a volunteer secretary on base and that is where she met the love of her life Donald, they were married on February 6, 1947.

She was very proud of her citizenship as an American and lived her life enjoying every freedom that the United States offered.

She lived in Spokane in the same home for over 50 years.

In 1965 she became an LPN working to save and help people.

She found her true passion in the labor and delivery department.

She worked 25 years at Deaconess Medical Center and retired after another 10 years at Valley Hospital.

Marcelle was easily remembered by her French accent and her ability to speak multiple languages.

She made amazing cakes; her most favored were her rum cakes during the holidays.

Marcelle loved to read, she especially enjoyed her weekly tabloids.

She had always enjoyed sci-fi books and movies.

Marcelle is preceded in death by her husband Donald (1994), her parents, and her sisters Lucienne, Jeanette, and Carmen.

She is survived by her children Charles (Karen) Beeman, Donna (Doug) Robinson, her grandchildren Tristan, Danielle and Antoinette Beeman, and Kendra and Derrick Robinson, 11 great-grandchildren, nieces in France to include Alain and Danielle Giudicelli, Virginie and Thierry Avellino, and Emilie Giudicelli.

A special survivor to Marcelle is her faithful Pitbull of 14 years Aujeanea.

Interment will be at Pines Cemetery where her urn will be united with her husband’s.

A family only service will be held.
