Obituary: Murphy, Patrick Francis

Age 60

MURPHY, Patrick
Francis

Passed away at SHMC on July 15, 2012 surrounded by his family.

Born on September 6, 1951 in Fort Wayne, IN, he joined the Air Force during the Vietnam War where he loaded bombs on the B-52s.

After his enlistment, he attended Indiana University/Purdue University and graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering technology.

He rejoined the Air Force in the late 1970s as an officer to train as a weapon systems officer in the F-4 fighter jet.

During this time, he met his future wife, Lt. Anna Cachero, an Air Force nurse.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his incredible daughters, Angela, Amy, and Aileen.

He will be sorely missed by his younger nine siblings, Dennis, JoAnn, Catherine, Denise, Mitchell, Martha, Stacey, Frances, and Christopher.

Patrick was known for his big heart, and booming laugh.

The last 18 months were especially difficult as a result of his multiple myeloma.

He continued to be cheerful and grateful for each day the Lord granted him.

We shall miss our dad, best friend, and husband so much.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to CCNW (Multiple Myeloma Foundation), 601 S. Sherman St., Spokane, WA 99202, Our Lady of Fatima General Fund, or a Catholic school of your choice.

We would like to thank all the nurses and aides at SHMC 7S, Rockwood Oncology Clinic, CCNW South office, Drs.

K. Lund and H. Kaya for their support and compassion.

A special thanks to Sandy, RN, and Annette, RN, for their patience and care.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
