PETERS, Anita Louise (Townsend)

Our beloved Anita, age 56, passed away on Wednesday, March 28th, 2012, at her son’s home in North Carolina.

She was born on September 29th, 1955 in Prosser, Washington to Floyd and Linnie Townsend.

Anita grew up in Spokane, ultimately living and raising her family, of which she was very proud, in Onaway, Michigan.

Anita is survived by her husband Wesley J. Peters; two sons, Wesley and his wife Heather of Onaway, Michigan and William and his wife, Desiree of Jacksonville, North Carolina; two sisters, Cheryl (Townsend) Winter of Bellevue, Washington and Janice (Townsend) LeMoine of Spokane, Washington; and her only brother, William S. Townsend of Spokane, Washington.

Anita also leaves seven grandchildren and her mother and step-father, Linnie K. and Thearn Sternitzky.

She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Vicky, two daughters, Katrina and Teasha; her father Floyd W. Townsend; her namesake, Anita (Townsend) Mills; her nephew Timmy, and a grandson, Ryan.


A memorial service is planned for July 27th at 3 p.m. at the Mausoleum Chapel, Heritage Funeral Home, in Spokane, Washington to be followed by interment.
