SCHUMAN, David Lee

David Lee Schuman, aka Grandpa Texas, age 78
of Little Elm, Texas passed away on July 14.

2012.

He was born November 8, 1933 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Frances Henrietta Carroll and Paul Rheinhard Schuman.

David was a Security Manager for the Greenway Plaza Condos for approximately 12 years in Houston, Texas.

Prior, he was a Machinist and Postal Service Employee among other jobs.

He volunteered at Austin voting polls on many occasions and was a contributor to the Disabled Veteran’s Administration.

David proudly gave eight years of service to his country as a medic in the Navy and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.


David enjoyed spending time in Washington State with his children and grandchildren.

He will be remembered for his eloquent and spiritual letters to his family, berry cobblers and his famous chicken-n-dumplings, trips to Galveston, and his dry sense of humor.

David was an avid coin collector, pool player, bowler, and loved to roller skate.


David is survived by his children, Dani Schuman, Debra Novak and her husband, Garry Creel, Julia Damez and her husband, Edouard, Tandra Morgan, and Harold Williams; grandchildren, David Novak, Justin Pollard, Ashley Schuman, Crystal Novak, Leanne Schuman, Alexander Damez, Chelsea Morgan, and James Morgan; great-grandchildren, Kimberly Marshall, Kelly Marshall, Elijah Marshall, Patrick Blackwell, and Keegan Jenkins; close friend and mother to his children, Ann Williams and his best friend and faithful companion, Jupiter.


David is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Frances Schuman, son, Frank Schuman, and his grandson, Dani Schuman.
