Anne passed away peacefully on June 21, 2012 at the Sunset View Adult Family Home in Spokane.

Anne was born in Great Falls, Montana on July 18, 1925.

She spent most of her childhood growing up in Montana towns such as Billings and Hardin as her mother and father were very hard working people in the restaurant business.

With perseverance they survived the depression, often living in a tent during the summers.

During WWII years she moved to Wenatchee, WA and later Lake Stevens where she worked at Boeing.

In 1944, she met the love of her life, Dale Elston, and the two were married one week later.

Following WWII, Anne and Dale moved to South Dakota and began their lives in the Pacific Northwest.
Anne had a great love of the arts and enjoyed gardening.

However, most of all, Anne loved family and took great delight in her grandchildren.

Family was what she lived for.

Anne is survived by her sister, Mary; three children, Dale (Linda) Elston, Kathy Elston and Bill (Gina) Elston; Dale’s children, De Anna (John) and Aaron (Darcy); Kathy’s son, Ryan (Ryan David); and Bill’s children, Paul, Lani and Mark; great-grandchildren include Nic (Victoria), Marisa, Hailey, Kelsey, Joel; and a great-great-grandchild, Trenton; numerous nieces and nephews.
A special thanks goes to the staff at Sunset View Adult Family Home and to Horizon Hospice for keeping Anne comfortable during her last months.

A graveside memorial will be held for Anne Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 12 pm at Greenwood Terrace Memorial, 211 N. Government Way.
