Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture - “Uncommon Gifts,” highlights the paintings, drawings and ceramic works of seven artists represented in the MAC’s permanent collection and offers insight into the building of a museum collection. The show celebrates the recent gift to the museum of 40 works from the Liberty Mutual/Safeco Insurance corporate collection, through Aug. 25. Also: “Lasting Heritage,” using personal stories and human-made objects to articulate the spiritual and visceral links between ancient people, modern tribal people and their lands, continues through 2014. Also: “Dig It!
