Plan promotes fairness

Thank you to Justin StormoGipson, “Health care isn’t a phone (July 19),” for a beautifully simple explanation of why we all need President Barack Obama’s health care. Because your letter was eloquently written, I will simply repeat your last paragraph which sums it all up:

“It’s completely reasonable for people who can afford health insurance, but refuse to buy it, to pay a penalty/tax to help offset the burden that our society bears to cover the cost of medical care for the uninsured.”

We all share this burden, whether we choose to or not. This plan only makes it fair for everyone.
