15 hurt as car crashes into Oregon festival crowd

ONTARIO, Ore. (AP) — A car has crashed into the bandstand area at a festival in eastern Oregon, injuring about 15 people. Rick Pilagi, the CEO of Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Ontario, said it does not appear that any of the injuries are life-threatening. He said the victims ranged in age from 3 years old to the elderly, and some of the victims had broken bones and possibe internal injuries. An Ontario Police Department dispatcher said the driver has been taken into custody. The crash occurred just after 2:30 p.m. at Lions Park. The spectators attending the annual America’s Global Village Festival were watching entertainers set up on the main stage.
