James Gordon McDonald “Gordon”, passed away in Spokane, Washington on May 28, 2012.
Gordon was born in Mount Dora, Florida on March 28, 1922, to the late Donald McDonald and Josephine Billingsly McDonald.
He served in the Navy and retired from the Coast Guard as an E9, a Veteran of WWII.
He retired from Alaska Power and Light, after 16 years in Spokane, Washington.
His wife of 43 years, Marion Van Voorhis McDonald, passed away in 1990.
Gordon and Marion had a daughter Valorie McDonald Davison, born May 7th 1949, deceased on August 5th 1973.
In 1993, Gordon married Myrtle “Jean” Sudan Parker McDonald, who passed in 2001.
He is survived by his grandson Brian (Nicole) David Davison and great-grandchildren Alexa Jordan Davison and Zane Gordon Davison of Florida.
Memorial services will be held June 13th at 10:30 am at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery 21702 W. Espanola Road, Medical Lake, Washington 99022.
