Jim died May 28, 2012 at home in Spokane.
He was born July 15, 1934 in Dubuque, Iowa to John and Mary Peter.
He moved to Spokane at age 12, attended Field School, and graduated from North Central High School.
Also attended Eastern Washington University and Spokane Community College.
He was employed at Kaiser Aluminum Mead works and retired in 1999.
He enjoyed outings with many friends and family.
Jim was preceded in death by parents, brother John and sister Dorothy Plein.
Jim is survived by wife Dorothy; daughters RaeMarie (Keith) Holloway and Susan Peter (Brian Watson); sisters Helen Richard of Hazel Green, Wisconsin; Ruth Haugen of Johnston, Iowa and Janet Grew of Dubuque, Iowa; several nieces and nephews and many treasured friends.
He was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church.
Memorial services will be held Friday June 8 at 1PM at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 2733 W. Northwest Blvd, Spokane.
