Photo: Enjoying the bloom before the gloom

Prior to the rain: Katee Navert, 25, her fiance, Alejandro Ventra, 32, and their dog Pefro run through Duncan Garden in Manito Park on Monday. The garden was named after John Duncan, the city parks superintendent who retired in 1942. It was originally called the sunken garden because the site was lowered by removing rich topsoil for other parks. The nicer weather is expected to give way to cooler, rainy weather most of this week.
