Obituary: Richardson, Dianne Patrice (Colwell)
June 9, 1949 to May 24, 2012
Dianne “Danny” passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer.
She was born to Chet and Shirley (Wendt) Colwell.
A lifelong resident of Spokane.
She graduated from University High School in 1967.
She worked for the Community Colleges of Spokane for 28 years before retiring in 2008.
She is survived by her children, Chad and Kellie Richardson of Spokane.
Two grandsons, Patrick and Jason Richardson of Spokane; one granddaughter, Fallon McKinney of Post Falls.
Long time companion and best friend, Doug Barnard of Spokane, best kid friend, Dylan Barnard.
Best friend Jan Hanson of Deer Park.
One sister Margaret Colwell of Coeur d’ Alene, numerous aunts and cousins.
Dianne loved kids, animals, camping, boating, traveling and she enjoyed a life long unregretted addiction to chocolate.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Spokane and the Hospice House for making her last days comfortable and pain-free.
A memorial celebration will be planned at a later date.
