Malnourished Moses Lake 2-year-old on life support

Associated Press
EPHRATA, Wash. — The Grant County sheriff’s office says a 2-year-old boy who was found severely malnourished last month at a Moses Lake home remains on life support at a hospital in Spokane. Detectives are wrapping up an investigation they’ll deliver to the county prosecutor for a charging decision. When emergency responders went to the home May 9 they found the boy’s heart had stopped and he had a body temperature of 89 degrees. He weighed less than 10 pounds. The mother reportedly told a detective she had consulted a naturalist and a Chinese herbal provider for treatment. Child Protective Services removed four other children from the home.
