Richard Donald Gilbert, 61, of Post Falls, Idaho passed away May 23, 2012 after battling cancer.

He was born in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on March 21, 1951.

Richard graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School.

Richard was married to Kathie Lynn Gilbert also of Coeur d’Alene.

He worked as an equipment operator for Post Falls Highway District.

He is survived by his son Richard J. Gilbert, daughter Amanda L. Huckaby, grandchildren Vada Gilbert, Sullivan Gilbert, Tobias Huckaby, and Cassidy Huckaby, sister Sheri Smith, and brother Brett Gilbert.

Richard is preceded in death by his wife Kathie Gilbert, son Baby Boy Gilbert, brother Warren Gilbert, brother Les Barr, sister Marie Kramer, and sister Donna Gilbert.

A memorial will be held on July 7, 2012 at Silver Beach Resort in Spirit Lake Id.
