Obituary: Guthrie, Margaret “Peggy” Flynn

“Peggy” Flynn

Peggy Flynn Guthrie died at age 76 on May 14, 2012 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Her 54-year-old son, Peter Howard Sherengos died in Maui, Hawaii on May 16, 2012.

She attended grammar school at St. Ann’s, and graduated from Marycliff in 1953.

Peggy was preceded in death by Howard A. Flynn and Mary E. Flynn (Spokane parents) as well as brothers Patrick Flynn (Yakima) and Mike Flynn (Spokane).

She is survived by daughters Billie Sherengos (Myrtle Beach) and Jamie Sherengos (Myrtle Beach), sons Philip Sherengos (Myrtle Beach) and Paul Sherengos (Denver), grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Surviving siblings are sister Kathleen Flynn (Seattle) and brothers James Flynn (Eugene, OR), Larry Flynn (Spokane), Dennis O. Flynn (San Francisco), and Terry Flynn (Seattle).

Remembrances can be directed to Catholic Charities of Spokane, where Peggy worked in the late 1990s as Social Services Coordinator, Domestic Violence.
