She was an unforgettable woman.

Marian graduated from Minto High School in 1939.

She attended St. Mary of Nazareth School of Nursing in Chicago, IL and graduated as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist.

She thought her job was a “gas” and provided amazing loving care throughout her 50 plus years of nursing.

From the thousands of patients she touched to the lives of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she lived a life of service.

She was a lifetime voracious reader and that only furthered her varied passions.

She loved to travel and at one point during her life realized her great dream of moving to Alaska for several years.

She loved to paint with oils and family and friends will enjoy her endeavors for years to come.

Marian loved Native American culture, often musing of having been a medicine shaman in a previous life.

Baking, gardening and music were also things she couldn’t live without.

She sang in various church choirs and loved making up songs to entertain her grandchildren.

Some have to read about the adventurous life.

Marian lived it, as her career took her from Chicago to southern California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho to Alaska with various stops along the way; including a couple of trips to Europe, fulfilling another lifetime dream.

For Marian, life was a grand voyage and all who cared to join her were thrilled at the ride.
