Obituary: Klein, Lena Dauenhauer

KLEIN, Lena Dauenhauer

Lena was born in Richardton, North Dakota on February 4th, 1913 to Valentine and Magdalena Hoerner.

She grew up in Richardton with 15 brothers and sisters and went to school there on horseback.

In 1934 she married Tony Dauenhauer and in 1936 they moved to Spokane with son Russell (deceased).

Lena was married for 58 years to Tony (deceased) and in 1997 married Hugh Klein (deceased).

Lena loved to bake cinnamon rolls and cookies, sewing, but most of all she loved to dance and play Pinochle and cribbage.

She is survived by three sisters, Ann Kelsey, Ida Jeffries and Claudia Helmer.

She is also survived by five daughters, Diane Kelly (Don), Arlene Wickholm, Marlene Nelson, Debra Kelly (Mike), Denise Kellett (Steve), 24 grand- children, 46 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Her joy was her family.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 15, 2012 from 2 to 7 p.m. followed by a Vigil at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes, located on 1115 W. Riverside Spokane WA, 99201.

Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Poor Clare Nuns, 4419 N. Hawthorne, Spokane WA 99205.

Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery right after Mass.
