Age 90


PETERSON, Margaret A.

Born in Mica, Washington on October 9, 1921.

Passed away at 90 years of age on June 11, 2012.

She was married on December 31, 1939 to Edvin K. Peterson and lived in Mica, Washington with four children until 1948.

They then moved to Valleyford, Washington in the fall of 1948 where Dad and Mom farmed with Dad’s brother Frank Peterson.

Around 1960, Richard Peterson, one of the sons, farmed with his Dad until 1980.

Mom also was the cook for all the hay and harvest crews.

Later, she was the cook at Freeman School District for several years and later worked at Arby’s in Spokane Valley for 18 years until she was 84 years of age.

She then retired and eventually settled at Orchard Crest Retirement Center.

Preceded in death by her husband, Edvin K. Peterson in 1994 and by two sisters Janet and Augusta.

She is survived by three sons Marvin, Richard, and Roger Peterson and daughter Sue Anselmo; sister, Laura Kernkamp as well as 19 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is to be held at the Valleyford Community Church on Saturday June 16, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. A private burial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Margaret’s name to the Union Gospel or the Valleyford Community Church.

Her happiness was complete when family and friends gathered around her.
