Anna Ogden Hall Long Term Recovery Shelter – Volunteers opportunities include nursery and kitchen volunteers; various program class teachers; reception work; and help in the medical clinic. Arc of Spokane – The Arc of Spokane – Advocacy and Family Support is in need of a library aide, to review their library and its organization, checking for inaccuracies. Other duties would include re-shelving books and updating the library content list. Volunteers are needed on a monthly basis. Catholic Charities – Drivers are needed to deliver “brown bags” to those in need of meals who are unable to obtain food themselves. Volunteers must pass a Washington State Patrol background check, have a valid driver’s license and a vehicle to use for food deliveries and be able lift and carry bags weighing 8 to 10 pounds. Communities In Schools – Volunteers are needed to help site coordinators at Shaw Middle School and/or Sheridan Elementary School. Volunteers will be asked to commit to a minimum of four hours per week to help with paperwork, student programs, watching students during/between classes, lunch times, recess times and tutoring.
