Obituary: Bedford, Robert

BEDFORD,
Robert “Bob”

Departed this life to join his beloved Violet on Monday, June 11, 2012.

Bob was an unforgettable man who loved his country, family and friends.

After serving in the Navy, he settled in the Eastern Washington area with his family, were he worked for the State of Washington Highway Department.

Bob had many interests, but his favorite by far was aviation.

He often told stories of his Navy days and his adventures flying airplanes.

Bob was very active and always had one project or another going, either for himself or for his family.

It was never surprising to pull into his driveway and see him perched precariously on scaffolding.

When not busy planning or working on his next project, Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, particularly his newest great-grandbaby.

Bob leaves behind his children, Carole Harding, Janet Hays, and Jerry Hays, all of Spokane; his brother Dave Bedford of Olympia; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Sheryl Hinchliff, and his wife, Violet Bedford.

A private ceremony for family only will be held to honor Bob and to celebrate his life.
