Guy Edmonds fanned for the second out of the inning, but Smerling Lantigua drilled a double to left field to plate both runners. Christopher Garia singled home Lantigua to put the Indians (1-6) up 3-0. Nick Urbanus followed with a double and Preston Beck singled to left to push across two more runs and up the lead to 5-0.
But Everett (5-2) bounced back, scoring two runs in both the sixth and seventh innings to pull within one run.
Spokane added a run in the eighth on a Ryan Rua RBI double, but Everett scored two in the ninth and the winner in the tenth all off reliever Cody Kendall (0-1) although only one run was earned.
Four Indians errors led to five unearned runs.
