1 dead, 1 in custody after reservation shooting
LEWISTON, Idaho — Officials say one person is dead and a man is in custody following a shooting on the Nez Perce Reservation south of Lewiston.
The Lewis County sheriff’s office said officers responded to a shooting in Winchester shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday, but the case was turned over to the FBI because it has jurisdiction on the reservation.
FBI spokeswoman Deborah Bertram says the federal agency is investigating.
