Born to Loren and Gertrude Jackson (VonSternberg) in Cory, Pennsylvania on January 20, 1918.
She was 94 years old.
Mary passed away in Spokane, WA on June 14, 2012.
She was married 55 years to Joseph B. Benzo, who preceded her in death in 1991.
Most of her life was lived in California and upon the the retirement of her husband, they moved to Spokane, WA.
She had three children, Barbara (Jerry) Russo of Sunnyvale, California, Philip (Linda) Benzo of Sacheen Lake, WA and Paul (Ann) Benzo of Look Lake, WA.
There are eight grandchildren, Louise, Lori, Joseph, Marie, Delanie, Alan, Tina, and Eric, and 13 precious great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by one sister, Gladys Gunn and one sister-in-law, Lilly Jackson, both in California.
She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, camping and cooking.
The afghans she crocheted for family will always be treasured.
Huge thank-you goes out to the staff of Willow Grove for six years of kind and loving care.
Horizon Hospice deserves a big thanks for their diligence and care during these last weeks.
Private graveside services will be held later in July.
