Our beloved Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma, Phyllis Katherine Jones passed away peacefully at home on the evening of her 75th birthday.

She was born on June 16, 1937 in Sioux City, Iowa, to Violet and LeRoy Mummert.

She married Darrell Dean Jones “Bud” in 1954, who preceded her in death in 1973.

She truly enjoyed being a military wife and the adventure and traveling with her family that came with it.

We remember her for her love of family, playing lots of games and spending time together.

She was dearly loved by many and will be sorely missed, but sweet memories remain in each of our hearts.

We rejoice in the assurance of her life surrendered to her Lord Jesus Christ and know today she rejoices with her Savior.
She is survived by her children, Dave Jones (Sandy) of Spokane Valley, Leslie Potratz (Bob) of Pierce, Idaho, Ed Jones (Laurie) of Warner Robins, GA; grandchildren: David Jones (Abigail), Kimberly Stone (Kenny), Marissa Dunn (Brandon), Joey Myers (Susanne), Renee Scherf (Kyle), Hannah Jones, Caleb Jones, Adam Jones; and five great- grandchildren: Adelaide Jones, Benjamin Jones, Nick Phillips, Kylie Myers and Carsten Dunn.

She is also survived by her siblings, Lenny Mummert (Carol) and John Shea (Terri), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family plans a celebration of her life at the gravesite of her husband later this summer in Sioux City, Iowa.
