Collision claims life of delivery driver on West Plains

The driver of a small delivery van was killed this morning in a collision with a larger truck at the intersection of Geiger Boulevard and Thomas Mallen Road, the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The 9 a.m. accident involved a larger dump truck with pup trailer, deputies said. Identities of the drivers were not given.

Sheriff’s deputies said the dump truck was headed east on Geiger Boulevard and turned left to go north on Thomas Mallen Road. The delivery van was headed west on Geiger and struck in the area of the delivery van driver’s door. An investigation was continuing.
