N. Idaho highway closed as police search for assailant
A stretch of U.S. Highway 95 is closed in North Idaho tonight as police look for an armed assailant.
A man was found bleeding from stab wounds in front of the Best Buy, and police are searching an area between Target and a military cemetery.
“There’s a wooded area they think they have the guy hunkered down in,” said Coeur d’Alene police Sgt. Scott TenEyck.
A helicopter is helping with the search, TenEyck said.
The highway is closed from Canfield Avenue to about Aqua Avenue, TenEyck said.
