Uggie leaves prints at Hollywood theater
Every dog has its day – and Monday belonged to Uggie.
The canine star of the Oscar-winning film “The Artist” became the first dog to put its paw prints in cement outside Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, according to reports.
Uggie arrived in a firetruck and was celebrated with a cake in the shape of a fire hydrant and with a golden bow-tie collar. The event also marked his retirement from show business.

“The Artist” won the best picture trophy at the Academy Awards earlier this year.
Uggie’s other film credits include “Mr. Fix It,” “Wassup Rockers” and “Water for Elephants.”
Shuttered club sues New York City
A New York nightclub that was the site of a celebrity-studded, bottle-tossing brawl is suing the city for shutting it down.
The company that runs Greenhouse says in a lawsuit made public Monday it’s losing $264,000 a week.
Police shuttered Greenhouse on June 16, citing code violations. Two days earlier, R&B singer Chris Brown and members of rapper Drake’s entourage faced off in the club’s basement lounge, called W.i.P. Brown and NBA star Tony Parker were among those injured.
Police say people in Drake’s entourage stopped Brown on his way out. Drake’s representatives say he was leaving when the fight began and didn’t hurt anyone.
Brinkley, ex settle latest legal battle
Supermodel and actress Christie Brinkley and her ex-husband Peter Cook have resolved their latest New York legal skirmish.
The New York Post reports Brinkley and Cook had been fighting over nasty email correspondence and expenses related to the care of their two children. They were due for a court fight on Long Island today.
Brinkley posted a statement on her Facebook page on Monday confirming a deal had been reached.
The Hamptons couple divorced after a sensational high-profile trial in 2008 after he was caught having an affair with a teenager who worked at his architecture firm.
