LaPorte LaVelle Kelley was born on September 18, 1965 in Murfreesboro, TN to Vance and the late Ethelwyn (Nancy) Kelley.

He brightened the lives of his family and friends for 46 years before leaving us too soon on June 25, 2012.
LaPorte was from around the way, every way.

Taking flight and landing in Spokane, WA with his Air Force family, LaPorte graduated from University High in 1983.

He loved any and all outdoor activities, hunting, fishing, camping, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Everyone will miss LaPorte for his light-hearted ways and infectious laugh.

A word for his children: your father loved you all - just remember, he may be gone but his memory will live on in all of you.
To cherish his loving memory, LaPorte leaves behind his sons, Brandon and Tyler, and two daughters, Amber Kelley and Brandi Holthaus, all of Spokane.

He is also survived by his father, Vance Kelley of Spokane; brothers, John (Sabrina) of Vacaville, CA, Mike (Tina) of Spokane; and his sister, Djuana Kelley Vines (Anthony) of Wilson, NC.

He also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy and sister, Vera.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012 from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev.

Happy Watkins officiating.

A reception to celebrate LaPorte’s life will be held at Eastside Community Center, 500 S. Stone St., Spokane, WA following the burial at Pines Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Spokane, 121 S. Arthur St., Spokane, WA 99202.
