Neil went to be with his Lord after a courageous battle against cancer on June 23, 2012, leaving many sad hearts behind.

He was born on January 17, 1925 in Wenatchee to Stanley and Anne Prior.

He moved to Spokane at six years of age.

He graduated from North Central High School, served in the Army as a Sergeant in the European Theatre during World War II, and then attended WSU.

In 1948 he married JoAnne Nikotich.

Neil was a salesman and personnel director for a national trucking company until he started his own company, Copy-Rite Printing.

During the 1960-‘70s he served as Lilac Festival Director.

Upon retirement he enjoyed touring the US in his motorhome, vacationing in Hawaii with friends, golfing and fishing.

Neil is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, JoAnne Prior; his sister, Mary Ann Hull of Seattle; his children: Susan (Randy) Ryan and Richard (Shir Le’) Prior; five grandchildren: Anne Boyden, Chris (Nichole) Ryan, Ashlund, Kylund and Daylund Prior; two great-grandchildren: Emma Boyden and Blake Ryan and numerous nieces and nephews who always knew they were going to hear a joke from Uncle Neil.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 28, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A Celebration of Neil’s Life will be held Friday, June 29, at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with interment at Fairmount Memorial Park.
