Colbert sends Post Falls’ boys into semifinals

 

Post Falls’ Marcus Colbert poured in 25 points – including an acrobatic, winning layup with 3 seconds remaining – in a 56-55 victory over Centennial on Thursday in the opening round of the Idaho State 5A tournament at the Idaho Center in Nampa.

The Trojans (20-3) advance to play Mountain View in a state semifinal today.

Borah 49, Coeur d’Alene 45: The Vikings nearly erased an eight-point deficit in the final 1:06, but Joe Roletto’s tying 3-point attempt fell short with 7 seconds remaining as the Lions escaped with the victory.

Coeur d’Alene (16-7) falls to the consolation bracket, where it faces Highland today.

Roletto and Deon Watson each scored 12 points for CdA.
