Jessie Doreen Dodgen,
a native of Eastern
Washington, was born
in Thornton, Washington
on November 6, 1916.


She reposed peacefully
on February 21, 2012
at age 95 in Fresno, CA.
Jessie grew up on a farm amidst the beautiful Palouse Hills of Eastern
Washington and graduated from Steptoe High School.

Her parents were Stella and Emery Ingram and she was the second of five children.

She married Justice James Dodgen on November 8, 1938.

They established J. J. Dodgen Construction Company in the community of Colfax, Washington.

In 1970 the couple moved to California and established their home in Lemoore, CA to be near their children.
Everyone that knew Jessie will remember her love of Christ, her Lord and Savior, and how she expressed this through music and her ministry to children.

Jessie enjoyed gardening, cooking and studying about nutrition and health and her many medals attest to her love of bowling.
Jessie is survived by her sister, Bernice (Ingram) Hilty; son, Father Ignatius (Dodgen) and daughter, Juanita (Dodgen) Daniel; grandchildren , Doreen Dodgen-Magee, Tasha (Daniel) Kliewer, Jeremy Dodgen, Kelly Daniel-Decker, Leslie Daniel Borrego, and Rachel (Daniel) Salgado; great grandchildren, Connor and Kaija Magee, Lauren, Chad and Matthew Kliewer, Ethan and Ella Dodgen, David and James Decker and Gabriel and Caleb Salgado.
A MOMENT of MEMORIES for Jessie will be held at Phipps Dale Funeral Chapel, in Lemoore on Saturday, March 3rd @ 6:00 p.m. Refreshments and social following at Juanita and Duane Daniel home, 218 E Meadow Lane, Lemoore, CA.
CELEBRATION of LIFE for Jessie will be held at Bruning Funeral Home, Colfax, Washington on Friday, March 9th @ 10:30 a.m. Graveside 12:00 noon @ Steptoe, Washington, Bethel Cemetery.

Light Luncheon will follow, at the Sterling Savings Bank Community Room, Colfax.
