Obituary: Duncan, Kathy M.

Age 54

DUNCAN,
Kathy M.

Kathy passed away with her loving family by her side on February 25, 2012.

She was a lifelong resident of Spokane.

She is the daughter of Ralph and Shirlee Polson and was born on November 25, 1957.

She graduated from East Valley High School in 1976 where she met and later married Bruce Duncan, her husband of 29 years.

Her pride and joy was their son, Travis.

She loved animals and was always happy when she was with her dog, cats and horses.

Like her mother, she was a gifted cook.

She also loved the outdoors, enjoyed working in her yard, had a great sense of humor, and liked to snowmobile and hunt.

She worked at Heart Arrow Veterinary, later at the Spokane Allergy and Asthma Clinic and for the last 20 years ran Hydrolawn Corp, the family business, allowing her husband and son to work there too.
She is survived by her husband Bruce, her son Travis, her father Ralph Polson and brothers Matt and Dan Polson.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirlee Polson.
The entire family wishes to express a special thanks to all of the wonderful people who helped out in so many ways.
At Kathy’s request, a small, family-only service will be held.
In lieu of flowers or gifts of any kind please consider a donation to the compassionate people at Cancer Care Northwest to help care for others with this disease that impacts so many people’s lives.
