FUHER, David Robert “Bob”
(Age 74)

Passed away on March 4, 2012.

A lifelong resident of Spokane, Bob was born to David and Lucille Fuher on September 1st, 1937.

Upon graduating from North Central High School in 1955, he joined the Navy.

He became a crewchief onboard the Navy’s P-2 & P-3 Orion aircraft, stationed at Whidbey Island NAS.

He was very proud of those Gold Wings.

In 1958, he met and married Gracia Mae Langstraat.

Gracia preceded him in death, in 2007, after 47 years of marriage.

Bob worked for a short time for Boeing, until he joined the Washington Air National Guard in 1963.

He retired as a SMSgt in 1992.

There he worked in Maintenance and Operations, earning many national awards.

Bob loved fast pitch softball, hunting, fishing, bowling, gambling, and target shooting.

He was also a baseball coach, cub scout, and boy scout leader.

He is survived by two sons, eight grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

We would like to thank LeAnn and the crew at Autumn Years and Horizon Hospice for taking such good care of him in his final days.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2012, between 10:00am and 7:00pm, at HAZEN & JAEGER FUNERAL HOME 1306 N. MONROE.

Funeral services will follow on Friday, March 9, 2012, at 11:00 am, in the Alwin Chapel at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home.

Graveside services will follow at Peone Prairie Cemetery.
