Obituary: Huck, Claire Virginia

Age 77

HUCK, Claire Virginia
10-02-34 - 02-27-12

Born Claire Mead in New Jersey, she was raised on her father’s fruit farm upstate.
She received a Master’s Degree in French literature from Middlebury College and taught French at every level from kindergarten to university.

She was the first woman president of an international language society.

She had a dramatic encounter with her Lord at the age of 35 and became a missionary, travelling in more than 80 countries, reaching many in places that others wouldn’t go.

Many lives were transformed by the healing power of God’s love through her.
She is finally in the arms of her Lord after many years of forced convalescence due to meningitis contracted in the mission field.
She is survived by her husband Chris, her son Matthew, grandchildren Natalya, Kayla and Jotham.
Heaven rejoices, but we will miss her.

Memorial celebration will be held at the Rock of Ages Christian Fellowship, 2131 W. Woodside Ave., Spokane, WA 99208, on March 11, 2012 at 3p.m.
