(Age 69)

Passed away on March 4, 2012 at his home in Edwall, WA.

John was a member of the Edwall Volunteer Fire Department, the VFW in Massachusetts, and was a former NRA member.

He enjoyed fishing, bow hunting and archery, leatherworking and woodworking.

He loved spending time with his family and friends and was eager to help others in the community.

He is survived by his wife, Gail “Cookie” at the home; four children: Laurnene Lafontaine of Denver, CO, James Lafontaine of Big Forks, MT, Jean Gregg of San Leandro, CA, and Pam Lafontaine of Spokane Valley, WA; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; two brothers: Ernie Lafontaine of Bennington, VT and Al Lafontaine of Pownal, VT, as well as several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, David and Thomas Lafontaine.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Strate Funeral Home, Davenport, WA.

Memorials may be made to the Edwall Fire and EMT.
