Passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012 after a year- long battle with brain cancer.

He was born on May 5, 1957 in Tanta, Egypt to Mohamed Ibrahim and Mabrouka (Hassan) Khater.

Abdul was a very loving husband, father and grandfather who cherished the times he spent with his family.

His family here and in Egypt were the source of his happiness and it was evident in his actions.

A very outgoing and fun-loving personality that captured so many people’s attention.

He played soccer and even had the opportunity to play on a national team.

Abdul loved being outdoors and enjoyed fishing, gardening and cooking.

He worked at Jaremko in Spokane as a salesman for over 20 years and gained so many friends from there that he deemed his “Saab Family.



Abdul is survived by his wife, Angie, who he cherished; his son, Omar; stepson Robert; stepdaughter Kayla; and his two beautiful grand-children, Nevaeh and Zekhiah.

He is also survived by his brothers, Abraham and Kandil; and sisters, Alia, Fatia and Ida, all of Tanta, Egypt; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Abdul’s Life will be held Saturday, March 10 at 5:30 pm at BELL TOWER FUNERAL HOME IN POST FALLS, ID, 3398 E. JENALAN AVE. As a final request of Abdul, he will be laid to rest at his home in Tanta, Egypt.
