Lucia E. “Cia”

Lucia “Cia” E. Valdez (Gust) Cia was born on May 28, 1949 in Wallace, Idaho, to Everett Gust, Sr. and Stella M. Gust.

She passed away February 23, 2012 after a battle with cancer.
She was one of seven childern and lived most of her life in Spokane.

She will be remembered for her smile, laughter, her love of the outdoors and her gardening.

She was proud of the “love of her life” Madelyn, her granddaughter and all their adventures together.

That kept her going during her courageous battle with cancer.
Cia is preceded in death by both parents as well as maternal and paternal grandparents.

She is survived by her daughter, Tricia (Steve), granddaughter, Madelyn and stepdaughter, Brittany.

She is also survived by three sisters Charlyne (Ron), Gwen (Ken) and Sue (John); and three brothers Everett, Jr. (Melba), Wayne (Becki) and Duane (Linda).

The family will be having a private celebration of life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a donation in her memory to Cancer Care Northwest.

Cia will be greatly missed by family and friends.
