Pop diva’s daughter inherits everything

From Wire Reports

Whitney H ouston left everything to her 19-year-old daughter and only child, Bobbi Kristina.

The pop superstar’s will doesn’t mention specific assets, but leaves all of her furnishings, clothing, personal effects, jewelry and cars to her surviving children.

Houston’s money will be put in a trust. Bobbi Kristina will get part of it upon turning 21, more of the money at age 25 and the balance at age 30. Houston’s trustees can give Bobbi Kristina money from the trust for various purposes, including to pay for tuition or to buy a home.

The will was signed on Feb. 3, 1993, about a month before Houston gave birth to her daughter. The 48-year-old died Feb. 11 in California.

Judge: No gag order in Paula Deen suit

A Georgia judge has rejected a request for a gag order restricting pre-trial comments in a sexual harassment lawsuit against celebrity chef Paula Deen’s companies.

The Savannah Morning News reports that Chatham County Judge Louisa Abbot said she would file an order denying the request by attorneys for Deen and her businesses.

Attorneys for Deen said Tuesday that a former worker who claimed she was sexually harassed and subjected to a hostile work environment at a Savannah, Ga., restaurant co-owned by Deen and her brother made false claims after Deen refused to pay her to keep quiet.

A statement from the law firm representing Deen says the lawsuit from Lisa Jackson “makes false allegations against Paula Deen and they will be proven false in court.”

Bee Gees star will return to stage

Bee Gees musician Robin Gibb will return to the stage after a serious illness for a performance of his requiem for victims of the Titanic disaster.

Organizers say Gibb will attend the Royal Philharmonic’s premiere performance of “The Titanic Requiem” in London on April 10, and will perform a new song, “Don’t Cry Alone.”

The classical composition commemorates the April 1912 sinking of the ocean liner and the loss of more than 1,500 lives.

Gibb, 62, was hospitalized late last year for stomach and colon problems, but told the BBC last month he was making a good recovery. He did not disclose the nature of his illness but said a growth on his colon had been removed.
