Tattooed Sacre exults in Cosmo’s pick for tourney sexiness

Gonzaga University center Rob Sacre leans over a courtside media table to clown with former NBA great Reggie Miller on Wednesday in Pittsburgh. The Zags meet West Virginia today at 4:20 p.m. to open the NCAA tournament. Miller is doing TV commentary for TNT. (Christopher Anderson)

Gonzaga’s Rob Sacre – the fourth-sexiest player in the bracket?

“You guys said it,” he protested, though not convincingly. “I didn’t want to put it out there, but what can I say? When the shoe fits.”

This isn’t about the shoes. Cosmopolitan, the American woman’s Wikipedia for sex and relationship issues, decided to put its own slant on the NCAA Basketball Tournament. So there online, right next to “Four things that freak guys out on a first date,” is: “We’re amped for March Man-ness, err, Madness!” and a link to the 26 “hottest guys” in college hoops.

And there at No. 4: Robert Sacre.

“Beggars can’t be choosers,” he shrugged. “I should have been first, but I’ll take fourth.”

Though the spread isn’t explicitly identified as rankings, Ohio State’s Aaron Craft, North Carolina’s Stilman White and Florida State’s Luke Loucks are featured before Sacre, about whom Cosmo wrote, “We’ve always had a thing for tattoos.”

“Hey, this is for suburban teenage girls,” Sacre noted.

So what’s he doing in there?

“I guess I’m the bad boy,” he said.
