Change of place: The final touches are being put on an exterior remodel of the Holiday Inn Express near the Spokane River. The new style evokes old Spokane with a European influence. It’s the first phase of a major upgrade for the 28-year-old hotel on North Division Street. A renovation and expansion of the lobby is scheduled for next fall, General Manager Lori Cook said. Steven A. Meek Architects of Spokane designed the makeover, and Vandervert Construction Inc. of Spokane did the work.
