Spokane Valley Fire Department – The department’s new administration building is on track to be done at the beginning of April. The move-in date is expected to be April 12. Demolition of Station 6 is ready to begin prior to the construction of a new station. About 100 people attended the recent open house at Station 7 on Evergreen Road. The commissioners discussed where to hold their annual retreat after problems came up at their usual location in Chelan. Commissioners agreed to look at a location closer to home and cheaper.
